- Course Description

The PRINCE2® Foundation Certificate course is a comprehensive 4-day program that provides participants with an extended theoretical and practical knowledge of PRINCE2, the non-proprietary best practice model that ensures project delivery is on time, on budget and of high quality. This course educates participants in all aspects of the PRINCE2 methodology, including its practical application. Through practice exams, workshops and overnight study, you gain the knowledge and skills required to take the Foundation Exam at the end of the course.

Who Should Attend?

The PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate Program is designed for:

• Current or aspiring project management professionals who need to
  fully master this leading PM method and at the same time obtain a globallyrecognised certification
  
  
• Anyone who requires a sufficient understanding of this project management methodology to be able to engage with project teams - such as people working in projects, people initiating projects, business representatives, team leaders, those with an interest in project management or who are considering moving into that field. NOTE: PRINCE2 also has a Practitioner module. This is available as a stand-alone course and may be taken at a later date.
  
  
• Anyone intending to become a PRINCE2 Consultant or PRINCE2 Trainer.

Learning Outcomes

The objective of this course is for each participant to be able to:

  quality requirements
• Apply PRINCE2 theory into practice
• Effectively control the start, progress and closure of a project
• Integrate the PRINCE2 Principles and Themes into a project
• Establish a project organisation with the appropriate stakeholders
• Apply planning processes that ensure alignment with project
  business case and quality requirements
• Manage the progress of a project using the appropriate
  control mechanisms 

Prerequisites

There are no prior requirements to attend this Foundation module. Please note however that you will be expected to do some pre-course preparation and evening study during the course.

Learning Method

This course is instructor led with limited class size. Participants undertake intensive practical activities to ensure understanding of concepts and terminology. After hours study is expected throughout the course to ensure that you are well prepared for the exams.
